SD welcomes BiH CC’s decision on status of entity symbols, says decision will no go down smoothly
| Slobodna Dalmacija, pg 13, mentioned on front ‘’Dismantling’ of Serb symbols’, by Veso Vegar – Commenting on the decision of the BiH Constitutional Court (BiH CC), which ruled that the entity symbols were not in harmony with the BiH Constitution, SD notes the issue will surely be a hot topic of political discussions in next six months or so especially having in mind that many RS senior officials have already voiced their disagreement with the decision. SD notes that the BiH CC could not take different decision since the three peoples are equal in the Constitution, therefore the symbols and anthem must reflect that, however the problem lies in the fact that the Serb parties believe that half of BiH is exclusively their ‘state’. Finally, SD argues that the decision will not be implemented as smoothly because there is no political will for it, which will have to trigger an action on the part of the IC. |
