PDHR Donald Hays to Visit Audit Office of Institutions of BiH
The Principal Deputy High Representative, Donald Hays, will today visit the Audit Office of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he will meet Acting Auditor General Samir Musovic, Deputy Auditor Dragan Kulina and members of their staff. Ambassador Hays will be briefed on the operations of the Office and the challenges it faces.
Ambassador Hays will express the full support of the OHR for the work of the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH, which, like audit offices in other branches of government and at major public companies, is a guarantor of transparency, efficiency and the optimal use of funds that belong to the people of BiH.The auditors are simply doing their jobs when they uncover and document cases of abuse or fraud.
Ambassador Hays and Mr Musovic will speak to the press at the conclusion of the visit at 13.45 hrs, at the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH, the Presidency Building.
Internal Debt
OHR is bringing together government leaders and representatives of the Federation Parliament, along with the international financial agencies tomorrow afternoon to chart a way forward for legislation that was sent to Parliament by the Federation Government on 19 May.
This package of laws will enable the implementation of the plan agreed by the authorities in BiH to solve the issue of money owed by the authorities in BiH to BiH’s citizens.

OHR’s Economic Report
I have brought today an economic report prepared by the OHR which brings together all of the key economic indicators which are currently issued, separately, by the Central Bank, entities statistics institutes and stock exchanges. It provides a snapshot of the BiH economy, highlighting current strengths as well as weaknesses.
