Addendum to the Previous Supervisory orders of November 3rd, 1998.

Today, September 13th 1999, Brcko Supervisor Robert W. Farrand issued an addendum to the previous Supervisory orders of November 3rd, 1998.

The addendum rescinds the November 3rd, 1998 Order on return of non-Serb members of the Municipal Assembly, Administration, Police, Judiciary and others to their pre-war homes of origin in Brcko. Today’s addendum also rescinds the November 3rd ,1998 Order on Outstanding cases of Article 17 of the Republika Srpska Law on the use of abandoned property, internally displaced Brcko residents and cases of multiple occupancy.

It is the first time that the Supervisor rescinds a previously issued Supervisory Order. The reason for this decision is that the above mentioned November 3rd, 1998 Orders have already served their purpose and the objective at which they aimed can be now pursued by other means. In addendum issued today, the Supervisor instructs the Municipal authorities and the Brcko Department of the RS Ministry for Refugees and Displaced Persons to implement current legislation with particular emphasis on the resolution of multiple occupancy.

The addendum has been sent today to the relevant authorities.
