Acting Supervisor of Brcko Gerhard Sontheim today appointed Prof. PhD Milan Tomic and Mr. Halil Ljuca to the positions of the Interim Assembly Councilors to serve until elections are held for the District Assembly
The two newly filled vacancies had occurred following the appointments of Councilors Branko Damjanac and Ahmed Dervisevic to the positions of the Mayor and Head of Department of Public Safety of the Brcko District by the Supervisory Orders of December 3 and November 18, 2003, respectively.
With the appointments of Prof. PhD Milan Tomic and Mr. Halil Ljuca, the Brcko District Assembly is again at full strength with adequate representation of all three peoples in the District.
Mr. Sontheim congratulates the newly appointed councilors to their appointment and expresses his confidence that they will perform their duty in serving the Brcko District Community, bound only by their conscience, the Statute of the District and the interests of all people.
