The Supervisor of Brcko, Ambassador Henry L. Clarke, has issued today Supervisory Order on the appointment of councilors in the Interim Assembly of the Brcko District of BiH, filling two of the three vacant seats in the Assembly of the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The two appointed councilors are Mr. Branko Damjanac (SPRS) and and Mr. Ahmet Dervisevic (SDA).
The three vacancies in the Brcko District Assembly occurred after the resignation of Djordje Ristanic and the removal of Mustafa Mujkanovic and Mirsad Islamovic by the Supervisory Order of November 13, 2002, from their positions as Assembly Councilors.
Ambassador Clarke congratulates the newly appointed Councilors to their appointment and expresses his confidence that they will perform their duty in serving the Brcko District Community, bound only by their conscience, the Statute of the District and the interests of all people.
An additional round of interviews will be conducted with the aim to provide selection of a suitable and capable candidate to fill the remaining vacant position in the Assembly.
