First train since November 1997 delivers grain to the Zitopromet mill

Speculation in the media about the multi-ethnic administration boycotting their work
There has been speculation in the media that members of the multi-ethnic administration have been boycotting their work in Brcko. Ian McLeod to act in Amb. Farrand’s Absence
Ambassador Bill Farrand, Supervisor for Brcko, is undergoing surgery in the United States. High Representative Carlos Westendorp has appointed Mr. Ian McLeod, Deputy to the Supervisor, to act in Ambassador Farrand's stead during the Supervisor's absence. No evidence of unrest referred to in the Federation media
There have been reports in some Federation media on 11 and 12 February, 1998, referring to incidents of unrest on February 11 in Brcko town and the surrounding RS territory. These reports allege the burning of Bosniac houses and instances of verbal abuse directed against returnees to Brcko.
