High Representative Christian Schmidt congratulated newly elected members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Denis Bećirović, Željka Cvijanović, and Željko Komšić - and wished them success in working together for the benefit of all BiH citizens.

Fighting corruption, including through prevention and protection of whistleblowers, has to be the top priority for BiH authorities, the High Representative Christian Schmidt stated today during his visit to the BiH Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight Against Corruption.

The High Representative, Christian Schmidt, submitted his regular semi-annual report to the UN Security Council (UNSC) on the status of peace implementation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Acknowledging today’s decision of the BiH Central Election Commission’s (CEC) to verify the final results of the 2022 General Elections, the High Representative Christian Schmidt emphasized that action must be undertaken to further improve the integrity of the election process.

The High Representative Christian Schmidt welcomes today’s appointment by the FBiH House of Peoples of the last missing judge to the FBiH Constitutional Court. The High Representative pays his respect to the decision made today by the delegates of the FBiH House of Peoples.
