Meeting with RS Expert Commission on Brcko

Attack on OHR Derventa Office
Banja Luka, 10 March 1999 Ambassador Miguel Arias called on the Mayor of Derventa today to express his profound concern over a violent attack on the Derventa office of the OHR during the weekend. An anti-personnel grenade was thrown into the office through a window.

Dismissal of President Poplasen – Brcko Award
Sarajevo, 8 March 1999 Dismissal of President Poplasen The High Representative notes the opinion of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska regarding the dismissal of Mr. Poplasen. However, Mr. Poplasen's removal was final and irrevocable. He is no longer president of Republika Srpska.

Brcko Decision
The OHR would wish to underline what the High Representative said at his press conference yesterday by stressing the following points:
Firstly, all parties agreed at Dayton that Brcko would be subject to independent arbitration. They agreed that the arbitration award would be final and binding, and to implement it without delay.
