CONTRACT TYPE:            National (2 posts)

GRADE:                                8

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The position of Investigator includes developing and preparing information that can be used for case development; to support on-going investigations or to collect evidence to be used in the prosecution of cases. This means also establishing and maintaining relationships with both local and international institutions and agencies involved in the investigation and prosecution.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Collect and assess information for criminal cases

·        Develop investigative strategies in conjunction with international and local investigators with a view towards removing the sources of systematic fraud and promoting reforms;

·        Review and organize the exploitation of documentation related to actual corruption and fraud cases;

·        Support domestic investigators (local authorities) in implementing anti-fraud strategies;

·        Assist the Head of Task Force in information-sharing and case development;

·        Represent the Task Force when requested. 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

·        University degree (Law or Criminology Degree preferable); 

·        Minimum three year work experience with international organizations out of which at least one year working with organizations focusing on corruption, bank fraud, money laundering or other financial fraud type investigations;

·        Understanding of the anti-corruption strategies pursued by domestic authorities in reducing corruption and fraud;

·        Strong analytical and organizational skills;

·        Very good interpersonal skills to interact with both international and local experts;

·        Strong personal commitment to peace implementation and anti-fraud/corruption activities in BiH. Knowledge of BiH political situation/environment is highly recommended;

·        Willingness to work long hours and in team;

·        Very good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
