Ivica Miletic, employee of the “Vaso Miskin Crni” factory died in an explosion today, due to breakdown of one of the machines, Mirna Sadikovic reported.

Brcko

Students continued protests in Brcko, demanding separate classrooms. They do not want to attend classes in the same rooms with Bosniacs any longer.

Banja Luka

3600 employees of RS Railways started a strike today, demanding monthly salaries and regular providing of means for railway traffic. Reported by Sanela Zivkovic.

Mostar

The International Conference on economic reconstruction and development of the town and region of Mostar took place today. There were about 150 participants: local and international officials, ambassadors and experts. “The OHR is ready to support this initiative, and I will do all I can to secure that this experiment succeeds”, the High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch said at the Conference, Denis Vila reported.

Sarajevo

The B&H Parliament House of Representatives organised its 26th session. The appointment of Martin Raguz as the new Chairman of the B&H Council of Ministers was confirmed. The former Chairman, Spasoje Tusevljak will be the B&H Minister of Vault. Sevko Bajic produced the report.

Banja Luka

The 14th RS Assembly session will take place again on 24th October, after yesterday’s failure. It was agreed on today’s meeting of party representatives and the Chairman of the RS Parliament, Petar Dokic. Reported by Dragan Stanimirovic.

World

The situation is tense in Gaza and West Jordan. The Coalition of Islamic political groups, led by Yasser Arafat called for continuation of rebellion against Israel.

The third debate of US presidential candidates, George Bush JR. and Al Gore took place last night.

Rescue teams are searching for the missing, after disastrous floods in Italy. Zeljka Lekic reported on current world events.

The trial in the case of murder of Rahman Hajdarpasic started today in the Sarajevo Canton Court. The following suspects have been accused of committing the murder: Ismet Bajramovic Celo, Mahir Radzo, Mersud Licina, Svjetlana Krstic and Aida Omerovic. Reported by Amarildo Gutic.

We are still discussing with our friends from the International Community in order to try to find a solution. We are also looking for strategic partners, who would participate in creation of a commercial television.
