According to the unofficial results, Ibrahim Rugova’s Democratic Union of Kosovo won the elections in Kosovo. Official results will be announced tomorrow.
2 Palestinians were killed and 20 were injured in clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli troops in the West Bank. The Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Barak said he was ready to continue negotiations, if the violence ceases.

Employees of the company “Bihacka Trgovina” in Bihac have been on hunger strike for 5 days. Authorities have not reacted yet. The Federation authorities do not to deal with such workers’ problems efficiently. Strikes in the country are numerous, and there is also a problem of preventing citizens to provide means for living by their work. Agriculturists are one of the examples, Anes Alic reported.
Bijeljina
Privatisation of banks in the RS is not taking place according to the plan. “No bank has been sold, due to unstable situation in the RS. Risks for potential investors are huge, because of non-functioning of legal system”, said the Director of “Semberijska Banka”, Cvijetin Nikic. Reported by Tanja Gajic.
Brcko
Preparations for construction of a settlement in Ilicka, in Brcko District started. Refugees who do not want to return to their homes in the Federation started cleaning the site. The RS Government provided KM 1 million for construction of infrastructure. Slobodanka Radojkovic produced the report.
Bijeljina
Serbs are leaving houses of Bosniac refugees. A new, temporary accommodation has been provided for them in the settlement “Pet Jezera”, near Bijeljina. The aid agency “GTZ” constructed 104 flats, which will be used as temporary accomodation for refugee families, Vesna Mladenovic reported.
Banja Luka
Misuse of children in the pre-election campaign in B&H is very frequent. Children appear in numerous pre-election spots and posters. There have been no reactions from the OSCE and OHR so far, Sanela Zivkovic reported.
