Trial of the Bosnian Serb, Milorad Krnojelac started today before the ICTY. He has been accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in B&H.

Employees of “Bihacka Trgovina” have been on hunger strike for several days. No one from local authorities addressed them so far.

Sarajevo

The Federation Privatisation Agency announced start of subscription of shares today. Deadline for completion of the first round is 120 days, Svjetlana Celic reported.

Banja Luka

According to the RS Privatisation Agency and the USAID, the privatisation process in the RS has been successful so far. Tenders have been announced for six companies. “We think that the international experts will ensure that the process is transparent”, said the Chairman of the International Advising Group for Privatisation in the RS, Edward Kadunc. The Government of Hercegovacko-Neretvljanski Canton sent the proposed Law on contributions for education and culture to ministries for further adaptation. They called for unions to participate in the process. Denis Vila produced the report.

The Sarajevo Canton Court cancelled sale of the company “Konzum”, on the basis of complaint of employees-shareholders.

The RS police burned 164 kg of cocaine, confiscated in the recent action of the RS Internal Ministry. Investigation is underway. Reported by Tatjana Lajsic.

A judge of the Spanish Supreme Court and two policemen were killed. The police holds the terrorist organisation “Eta” responsible for the murder.

One person was killed in a car explosion in southern Austria. Causes of the explosion are still unknown.

Bodies of 42 citizens of the village of Novoseoci were exhumed in Ivan Polje, near Sokolac. They were identified today by family members. Results of post mortem will be sent to the ICTY, Sevko Bajic reported.

422 people died in mine explosions after the war in B&H. The International Red Cross Committee presented aims of their programme “Awareness of Existence of Mines” today. Reported by Meliha Hasanbegovic.

The HDZ Chairman, Ante Jelavic proclaimed death of the Federation last night, calling for all Croat parties to finance the Croat Referendum, BH Press reported. According to regulations of the Interim Election Committee, all party activities should be stopped during the elections. “Any political party which violates this rule will be held responsible before the Appeal Election Sub-Commission”, said the OSCE Spokesman, Luke Zahner. Amarildo Gutic produced the report.
