The people of BiH will have the opportunity on 11 November to elect representatives to government and parliament who will perform their duties responsibly, High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch stated in Banja Luka on Tuesday. Ambassador Petritsch warned all politicians in BiH “who think they can build their campaign on anti-Dayton agenda that they should just think of Milosevic, what it means to stand up against the rest of the world and particularly against his own people.”
Bicakcic requests Lagumdzija’s position on reconstruction of pension system instead of utilization of Communist methods of intimidating opponents
BiH Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic asked SDP BiH President Zlatko Lagumdzija on Tuesday to say whether he supports reform of the pension system or not. The SDP BiH President has once again confirmed the fact that his party not only kept the property of the former (communist) system, but also the mannerisms of this former system, Bicakcic said. He added the only thing on Lagumdzija’s mind is prison: whom he will arrest and place in prison. He made this statement commenting on Lagumdzija’s statement that officials in the BiH Federation Government should not be asking questions, but preparing themselves to be the held accountable.

Although not informed of the details of a lawsuit raised against him by DSP President Alojz Knezovic, BiH Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic stated that Knezovic is only repeating his lies in a ‘Goebbels-like manner’ because all back pensions from 1997, 1998, 1999 have been paid in full. “Mister Knezovic can see that this is the truth just by looking at the pension checks he receives regularly every month, Bicakcic concluded, in response to Knezovic allegations concerning the non-payment of back pensions in the BiH Federation.
SDA never made offer to cooperate with Mladen Ivanic’s PDP – SDA reaction to Ivanic statement that his party would cooperate with anyone except SDA
00:32 The SDA did not expect and did not make any offers of mutual cooperation with PDP President Mladen Ivanic, said a press release of the party on Tuesday. The SDA issue this release to in response to Ivanic’s statement that he is open for cooperation with everybody except the SDA. This newly constructed leader-of-the-future Ivanic just makes fun of himself by rejecting something he was never offered, the SDA concluded.
