Banja Luka - President Plavsic met the Hungarian Ambassador to BiH, and talked about the political situation in the RS and pre-term elections, and economic co-operation between Hungary and the RS. The Ambassador will send a group of experts to do research and give aid to the RS.

05 October 97, 19:00 Sarajevo - Robert Gelbard, US Special Envoy for BiH paid a visit to BiH Presidency Chairman Alija Izetbegovic, Presidency Member Kresimir Zubak, and CoM Co-Chair Haris Silajdzic. Their talks focused on the further efforts needed to overcome obstacles in the DPA implementation.

US Special Envoy Gelbard continued his tour to BiH visiting Krajisnik in Pale this morning. They talked about the work of joint institutions, media, and the Belgrade Agreement. Gelbard said that the US and Contact Group position is to support the holding of parliamentary elections in the RS.

03 October 97, 19:00 Sarajevo - A meeting of BiH election parties representatives, chaired by Federation Co-president Ganic was held today. BiH President Izetbegovic was also present, and the meeting was called because of the delayed publishing of the election results.

Banja Luka - Plavsic received a group of businessmen from Knezevo who informed her about the economic situation in this town. Plavsic promised she would do her best to send financial aid to this town. 2:00 Pale - The CoM Co-chair, Bosic and Minister Albijanic talked with the Chinese Ambassador to Sarajevo about the current situation in the RS.

NATO Secretary General, Solana and NATO General for Europe, Clark said that SFOR took over four SRT transmitters (Udrigovo, Duge njive, Trebevic and Leotar), at the request of HR Westendorp, and in accordance with the Udrigovo Agreement which was signed between Krajisnik and SFOR Commander Shinseki on September 10.

01 October 97, 23:00 Sarajevo - SFOR troops seized four TV transmitters in RS this morning, the transmitters are Udrigovo, Trebevic, Duge Njive and Leotar. The action was carried out upon the request from HR Westendorp. As said by SFOR Gen. Clark, the transmitters will now broadcast programmes from SRT Banja Luka studio.
