5 September 97, 19:30 Session of the Herzegovina Neretva Cantonal Parliament - The session was abandoned by Bosniak MP's after HDZ MP's refused to accept Mostar amendments to the Cantonal Constitution which had been adopted at the meeting in Sarajevo.

Pale - RS representative Krajisnik met with the US Ambassador Kauzlarich. Krajisnik's cabinet announced that Kauzlarich acknowledged the attitude of the Serb side concerning the elections. By this opinion, the elections should be delayed until the end of September, in order to review the voters lists and the election rules.

The explosion, which occurred at about 2:30am, did not claim any victims although there was some material damage. The RS will be ready to co-operate with the Hague Tribunal only when it starts treating all the parties equally. There would be justice if the national courts, together with representatives of the Hague held public hearings for those accused of war crimes, as was suggested by Krajisnik when talking to British Foreign Minister Cook. It is supposed that there are about 200 Bosniak bodies at the bottom of the 55m deep pit. Udrigovo - demonstrations against SFOR - SRT gave no comment, only pictures of people carrying flags and walking around SFOR soldiers and vehicles. 30 seconds Last night's editor of SRT news said that the SFOR and Bijeljina local leadership and SRT officials are at a meeting trying to reach a solution to this problem.
