10 July 1997, 19:30 Prijedor - An SFOR operation to arrest war criminals began this morning. Former police commander in Prijedor, Simo Drljaca was killed in this operation because of his resistance to the arrest. Milan Kovacevic, former Municipality Executive Board president was arrested with no resistance.

9 July 1997, 19:30 Madrid - On the second day of the NATO summit, there were two conclusions relevant to Bosnia. One of those is US President Clinton's statement in which he said that NATO has a clear mandate to arrest the accused war criminals, if the risk are not too high.
