The European Union is greatly concerned about the difficulties that are preventing the approval of the 2002 BiH State Budget. This subject still remains unresolved, despite the fact that has been pending for months and that it is a crucial matter for the stability and normalisation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I have the honour to speak on behalf of the European Union. The associated countries, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Turkey subscribe to this statement.

The European Union notes that two years after the first partial decision of the BiH’s Constitutional Court on the equality of the Constituent Peoples, the process of implementation is entering its final stage.
