Brcko Supervisor Susan R. Johnson yesterday issued a Supervisory Order reiterating the requirement for the Supervisor’s approval for the disposal of public property in the Brcko District of BiH.
Any disposals of public property, including Public Land Construction Rights (of any kind, with or without buildings), long-term leases of public land and buildings and generally all agreements, acts or decisions which have a commercial value similar to a sale, must be made in accordance with the law and with prior written approval of the Supervisor.
Disposals, subject to the mechanism of approval, that have not been approved by the Supervisor, will be null and void, unless the Supervisor decides otherwise.
“This mechanism is another legal tool coming from our determinationto fight corruption and to ensure that dispositions of public properties are made transparently and in accordance with the Law and the Final Award and in the interests of the District”, Supervisor Johnson emphasized. “It is the responsibility of the Government and Assembly of the Brcko District to undertake all necessary measures to ensure its implementation.”
